Ignorance is a PvE raiding guild and that is the focus of the guild “To Raid”. If you are not dedicated to raiding, then this is the wrong guild for your character.
Below are some simple do's and dont's to follow whilst you are a member of our guild.
THE DO'S
- Do sign up on Rapid Raid and respect the sign up deadline
- Do be online 15 minutes before start for invites
- Do turn up on time if you have signed and have been selected
- Do be available if you are on stand-by selection.
- Do make sure you are on vent
- Do bring the required raid consumables
- Do arrive with 100% durability
- Do inform the raid leader via the Website Mail system or in-game mail, if you are unable to make the raid
- Do check what your current DKP points are and that you have enough to bid
- Do what you have been asked to do and read any strategy and guides to the instance for your class: it assists the raid
- Do ask for raids and make suggestions on the raid discussion forum on website: be communicative
THE DONT'S
- Do not Ninja AFK: if you have to go, make sure the raid leader is aware and it's agreed.
- Do not interrupt when the raid leader or assistants are discussing tactics. If you need to add comments, ask the raid leader.
- Do not Ninja pull, it's embarrassing and costly.
- Do not have heated discussions in the raid: leave it till afterwards and discuss it in whisper or class channel, not in raid channel or the guild website or chat.
- Do not come unprepared: this will incur penalties.
- Do not chastise (insult) people on vent or any other chat, we are not all perfect.
- Do not talk over the raid leader or assistants.
- Do not post damage numbers or any other reporting in raid or guild chat, unless specifically asked for by the raid leader.
- Do not corner or bully raid leaders into making extra raids or changes to current ones.
- Do not question the selection of the team - the raid leaders decide for the best benefit of the group; if you're not selected for a certain raid, you will have another chance the next time you sign up.
- DO Not Raid out of guild with any raid eligable character in guild unless it has been agreed and the guild can afford you to be locked out of raid instance, going with out checking can envoke a yellow card.
- Turn up on time, repaired and equipped and with consumables: you will be awarded with hourly DKP (10 DKP per hour).
- Added help from you to aid others in raid will be awarded with 5 DKP at raid leaders discretion, i.e. assistants and helping with summons raid conjured items etc.
- If you are selected on standby team: be available. If you can't be, inform the raid leader, stand-by will be awarded 3 DKP Issued for actually being told to be ready.
- Lateness will incur –50 DKP without valid reason or lack of contact with the raid leader: contact can be via website mail, in-game mail and/or by text to raid leaders mobile.
- Not being prepared will incur -20 DKP
- Persistent over talking whilst the raid leader is talking will incur a 1st warning and a yellow card and on the 2nd warning, you will get a red card and be kicked from raid. This also accounts for looters whilst people are being ressed and whilst Raid leader is sorting out loot ( Wait till Loot has been dealt with before BOJ ore collected)
- Ninja AFK without informing the raid leader: you will be kicked and replaced and receive -50 DKP
- Leaving raid without discussing with the raid leader will incur a 2-week raiding ban and -50 DKP
- If you are on standby selection, you must be readily available for invites: if not available on standby -10 DKP will be issued.
- Chastisting (insulting) a fellow player in guild causing embarrassment will incur a warning and persistence will incur being kicked from raid.
RAIDING INFO & TIME TABLE
Raid Addons:
The following Addons are the minimum requirement to raid with ignorance;
1. Omen threat meter.
2. Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs
3. Ventrilo client (not an addon)
4. Paladins must have Pallypower
The raid leader may decide to organise additional events to clear remaining bosses, if applicable or to organise a surprise 25-man raid, if and when enough people online and available.
At any time the guild raid leaders can change the event to suit guilds requirements i.e. if enough people are online for a 25-man, then that may take precedence over a 10-man as there are more drops and it's better for progression and people to learn the tactics. Team selection may also change to suit the raid requirements.
On off-days, do RL family stuff, go out to the pictures, have time off from WoW, go to the gym. If you must play WoW, make it productive: farm food and mats for guild bank etc. Use to do heroics or help out each other.
Thankyou for respecting these rules and for progressing with us as a top-class raiding guild... and remember the biggest rule of all in a Raid, always bring your smiles & KEEP HAVING FUN!
Loot Rules:
- Master Looter will be activated during every raid apart from when certain trash deems otherwise. This will be allocated to an officer or an appropriate raider as designated by the Raid Leader.
- All Soulbound/Bind on Pick Up items are subject to the bidding rules.
- High level consumables will be picked up by the Master Looter and deposited in the guild bank for future use.
- No one will loot a Boss until advised to do so by the Master Looter (That includes looting for Badges Heroism etc)
- Any looting of the Boss before master looter without valid reason will incur a -DKP of 5.
Bidding Rules:
The full loot will be linked in Raid Chat initially. Following this, the Master Looter will link individual items and request bids for that item. If multiple items drop, then the Master Looter will advise and accept the top bids as necessary.
During this time, it is essential that all players respect the role of the Master Looter and keep Emotes / Raid Chat free so that bids can be clearly seen and unfortunate mistakes avoided.
It is each players responsibility to ensure they are aware of how many DKP points they have available for bidding purposes.
Minimum DKP costs are as follows:
• Normal Epics: 10 DKP
• T8 10 man 15 DKP
• T8 25 man 20 DKP
All Bids must be in Raid Chat, the Highest Bidder(s) at the end Win !!!
- A Player cannot bid more DKP than they have accrued through past and current raids. All DKP is monitored through the website !!!
- If 2 or more players all want an item and they all have the same DKP then this will result in a roll, the highest roll obviously winning but at the maximum bid DKP value.
- If an instance is officially “on farm” then raiders with remaining DKP will be given the option first to spend that DKP prior to general rolling by all other players.
Raider Status:
- FNG – Cannot bid for items until officially promoted to raider status. However in cases where a “Raider” does not require that item the Master Looter will inform the raid and open up bidding for FNGs and Alts
- Raider – All acrued DKP can be used by a player whilst in an instance if you are a class that requires gear for offspec in raids such as Warriors, Druids for example ie switching in raid from Tanking to dps at the request of a raid leader then you can use DKP and can can bid for the item. However judgement and being sensible should always intervene and the call finally rests with the raid leader and master looter.
- Alts - Alts will only be used if absolutely nesscesary mains should be used at all times where ever possible, the only alt to be used in a raid is the nominated alt in the main guild. All other alts may be used in the 'The Asylum' guild. Alts will share the same loot priority as FNG's and these two ranks may bid together
- Items for off-spec - Items may only be bid for off-spec once all raiders, FNG's and Alts have passed on items
Raid Repairs
Raid repair is available for Raiders and above to the amount of 100g per raid. At no time is the raid repair to be used for normal day to day use. However at times this can be carried out due to addons and by mistake so if this does happen please be honest and replace the G or deduct the amount from your raid amount. FNG are not entitled to this function until promotion.
Above all, we as a guild expect all players to use common sense when, or if any issues over loot arise. As an example or guideline:
- It is highly recommended that Main Tanks and Healers are geared up first to facilitate further success in upcoming raids.
- As players we should all look to defer loot to the lesser geared players in order to benefit the guild as a whole.
- Players bidding for a non-raid viable off-spec should look to pass to a character bidding for main spec.
Highest bidder at the end of bidding period wins!
